The NBA Finals have been a nightmare for LeBron James. The Spurs trounced the Heat in historic fashion to jump to a 3-1 series lead, and Tim Duncan and company can wrap up the series Sunday night in San Antonio. In those two losses, the Heat hardly looked like a two-time defending champion. A week ago, Heat fans were dreaming of a three-peat, but now even the most ardent fans must acknowledge the possibility that the Big Three may disband this offseason.

James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh can all opt out and become free agents next month. Bosh has said he would like to stay and would take a pay cut, if necessary, and the Heat are exploring the possibility of adding All-Star forward Carmelo Anthony to the roster. Still, it’s anyone’s guess as to what James will decide.

Houston’s Chandler Parsons, for one, believes James will be suiting up in a different uniform next fall. Parsons joined ESPN’s SportsNation and said that a loss in the Finals will be the end of James’ stay in Miami.
