Johnny Manziel: Marvin Lewis' 'midget' remark 'absolutely funny'

 2014-12-10-johnny-manziel

Marvin Lewis' verbal cheap shot at Johnny Manziel — the Cincinnati Bengals head coach called the newly appointed starting quarterback of the Cleveland Browns a "midget" — is the latest indication that the high-profile rookie remains a marked man.

The barb provided fresh evidence that Manziel will be sold short, doubted and taunted — remember when the Washington Redskins goaded him into flipping the bird during the preseason, a gesture that later cost Manziel a $12,000 fine? — until the former Heisman Trophy winner establishes himself as Johnny Pro Football. But the 22nd pick of May's draft will get the chance to answer Lewis and his other detractors Sunday when the Browns host the AFC North-leading Bengals.

It would surely help if Manziel shows the same poise he did Wednesday.
