No. 1 Florida holds off Tennessee in SEC semifinals

ATLANTA — Florida overcame its largest deficit against an SEC team this season to earn a 56-49 win against Tennessee on Saturday and advance to final of the SEC tournament.

After fighting back only to get behind again, Florida pulled even late then mounted a final charge to claim its 25th consecutive win of the season, extending the school record.

Florida (31-2) trailed 35-28 at the half. The Gators were down 33-23 in the closing two minutes, the largest deficit in a conference game all season. Florida trailed Auburn by nine late in the first half on Feb. 19.
