Already dominant, Oregon expects improvement against UCLA

EUGENE, Ore. — No. 3 Oregon leads the Pac-12 in so many categories it would be cumbersome to list them all.

But here's two that matter most: Scoring offense (57.6 per game) and scoring defense (17.3 ppg). Washington is the only team to come within three touchdowns of the Ducks.

If that wasn't enough for No. 12 UCLA to worry about there's more. According to Oregon coach Mark Helfrich, Oregon has plenty of room for improvement.

"In every phase we can get better starting with me and everything we do," Helfrich said.

Heisman Trophy frontrunner Marcus Mariota will be looking to improve on last week's performance in a 62-38 victory against Washington State. Mariota threw for 327 yards and two touchdowns, and scored on a 57-yard run, but he committed his first turnovers of the season on second-quarter fumbles after sacks.
