Manziel signed with the marketing firm LRMR, which is headed by James’ longtime friend and business partner Maverick Carter.

“We are were watching the draft after our game (Thursday). After he didn’t go to Dallas, I figured he would go to Cleveland at 22,” James said. “It’s exciting. He’s going to get an opportunity to compete for the starting job. It’s exciting for us, our family and for him. I’m excited for him.”
