Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton had been breaking the NFL’s strict uniform rules since his rookie season, but it was only just now noticed by the league. An Under Armour athlete, Newton has been wearing blacked-out Under Armour helmet clips to attach his visor to his face mask. Because Under Armour is not an official uniform partner of the NFL (that would be Nike), Newton is in violation of the rules.
